World Cup winner tops guest list!

Dorechester Town's fans, players and officials are looking forward to celebrating the end of the 2016-17 EVO-STIK League Southern season with World Cup winner Sir Geoff Hurst.

The legendary striker with England and West Ham is heading for the Trinity Club in Dorchester as guest of honour at the EVO-STIK League Southern Premier Division club's end of season awards night at the end of April.

Still the only player ever to have scored a hat-trick in a World Cup final when England beat Germany 4-2 at Wembley in 1966, the 75-year-old football icon will be in Dorset on Saturday 29 April to help honour the club's stars and celebrate the campaign at the Avenue Stadium.

The Magpies are also lining up a comedian to join Sir Geoff, pictured above and lifting the World Cup, after tickets priced at £20 and £15 for members went on sale. For more information and tickets for the event which kicks off at 7pm and includes a meal, call the club office on on 01305 262451.
