Big crowd expected at charity final

Paulton Rovers are looking forward to kicking off the Easter weekend by hosting a bumper crowd but not in EVO-STIK League Southern action.

Club's officials are expecting around 1,000 fans to attend the annual Paulton Hospital Cup Final at their Winterfield Road stadium on Good Friday before they host Bridgwater Town on Bank Holiday Monday in the EVO-STIK League Southern's Division One South & West.

Kicking off at 11am, the annual fundraising fixture is played between sides competing in the Mid Somerset League with the event raising thousands of pounds every year for Paulton Community Hospital, a valued NHS asset serving the whole of north east Somerset and the Mendips.

The turnstiles and facilities, including bars and refreshments, will be open from 10am to cater for the big turnout expected for this year’s final between Division Two champions Peasedown Albion and holders Coleford Athletic, the Premier Division champions seeking to lift the the cup for the third year running
