Wednesday's South & West action review

By David Watters

There was only one game in the EVO-STIK League Southern Division One South & West on Wednesday night but it produced seven goals and all for home side Winchester City as they swept away visiting Slimbridge, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Winchester went into the game in-form, having won their previous four games, while in contrast, the visitors had lost their previous three.

Adam Tomasso opened City`s account on 20 minutes and Craig Feeney doubled that lead 15 minutes later, with a 25-yard Jamie Barron effort making it 3-0 at the break.

Feeney added a quickfire hat-trick between the 52nd and 67th minutes to make it 6-0 and four for him, with youngster Jack Hannam making in seven in the 77th minute.

The win lifted Ian Saunders` side to tenth in the table, seven points behind fifth-placed Salisbury FC with two games in hand.
