Supermarine boss keen to see a response

SWINDON Supermarine manager Dave Webb has called on his troops to stop the rot as they welcome AFC Totton to the Webbswood Stadium tonight.

The Evo-Stik South, West club have suffered back-to-back defeats losing 3-2 to leaders Taunton Town 10 days ago before suffering a 3-0 reverse at Wimborne Town on Saturday.

Speaking to the Swindon Advertise, Webb said the following:

“It is a massive test. We have got 18 players in the squad, so it is hard when you have got four missing,” Webb said.

“But I’m not having that as an excuse for Saturday. It is not about who is missing, it is about the ones in possession of the shirt.

“I said before the game: ‘Don’t use injuries as an excuse, you’ve got the shirt, look after it, keep it and go and win the game’. Unfortunately, we didn’t do that.”

“We need to show a reaction. We have got a big game against Totton, they are much improved side this season,” he said.

“Just as winning becomes a habit, so does losing. We have got to get to winning ways and quick.”
