In fact, no less than 61 goals were scored in the eleven matches as defences took the day off!
Leaders Royston Town maintained their eight-point advantage at the top after winning 5-1 at Garden Walk against Uxbridge in which experienced new striker Matt Nolan bagged a brace to send his side 2-1 in front at the break – a Scott Bridges own goal replying for the Reds.
Bridges scored at the right end five minutes after half-time and Dan Braithwaite and Rod Orlando-Young made it a nap hand before Matty Woods added the visitors` second in stoppage time.
Second-placed Farnborough could 'only' manage a 3-1 Cherrywood Road win over Chalfont St Peter, thanks to an Ed Smith double on 48 and 71 minutes and an 81st minute third from Sam Pearce – all after the Saints had led through Alex Paine`s 16th minute opener.
Barton Rovers are third on goal difference after they won 5-3 at another top five contender, Hanwell Town.
Elliot Bailey and Connor Calcutt both bagged braces for Rovers, with Michael Malcolm adding the fifth five minutes from time. Dean Allen from the spot and Lamar Simpson had pulled it back to 3-2 by the 47th minute but Zak Joseph`s third for Hanwell came in the 88th minute when it was too late.
Marlow are fourth after winning 4-1 at a now seventh-placed Potters Bar Town.
Goals from Isaac Osei-Tutu and Nathan Poulton gave Marlow a 2-0 interval lead that Calam Gallimore added to three minutes into the second half. Chid Onokwai made it game over with a fourth on 67 minutes, rendering Ashley Nathaniel-George`s goal two minutes later as just a consolation for the Scholars.
AFC Dunstable moved into fifth spot after joining in the fun by winning 5-0 at Thame against Aylesbury United, Jermaine Hall with two, Leon Cashman, BJ Christie and Courtney Massay on target for the visitors.
They leap-frogged Kempston Rovers, who were on the wrong end of a 6-3 hammering at the Runnymede Stadium by Egham Town.
And that was after the Walnut Boys had led 2-0 by the 17th minute with goals from Danny Watson and Michael Lyon, and 3-1 after 26 minutes when Grant Fryer had replied to Brendan Matthew`s 22nd minute goal for the hosts. Callum Webb and Wes Daly made it all-square by half-time and then Richard Pacquette`s first goal for his umpteenth club and Reece Yorke and Matthew again, stretched the Sarnies away in the second half.
Bottom-markers Petersfield Town are now fourteen points from third-bottom Aylesbury FC after losing 4-0 at Chestnut Avenue to Northwood.
Andy White after six minutes, James Burgess from the spot on 40 minutes, Myles Stephenson two minutes later and then Fabian Brown eight minutes from the end did the the damage.
Second-bottom Histon made it four successive wins under Lance Key to move to within two points of the safety-mark.
Matt Allan after 15 minutes and Dan Gleeson after 35 minutes had the Stutes in command and, despite Jack Dunmall 'winning' the second half for the hosts in the 52nd minute, the visitors held firm.
All that was bad news for the third-bottom Moles who lost 3-2 at the New Eyrie against Bedford Town.
Alex O`Brien gave the visitors a 32nd minute lead that Jamie Lofthouse-Smith cancelled out just before half-time. Lee Roache and Andrew Phillips stretched the Eagles` lead to 3-1 by the 77th minute, and although Aylesbury made them sweat a bit after Frankie Baigent`s 81st minute second, the hosts held on.
Arlesey Town are four points better off than the Moles but suffered a 2-1 defeat at Ashford Town (Middx) whose Bayley Mummery and Tom Brunton outgunned Arel Amu.
Elsewhere, Beaconsfield SYCOB and Fleet Town shared eight goals at Holloways Park!
It was a see-saw encounter that had Pat Cox giving the visitors a 24th minute lead that Charlie Losasso cancelled out just before half-time. Callum Bunting then put SYCOB ahead just after the break before Ben White levelled.
Jack Lyons then restored the hosts` lead, only for Craig Davis from the spot and Simba Mlambo to put Fleet 4-3 ahead with 11 minutes remaining. But Bunting`s second five minutes from time rescued a point for Beaconsfield.
