Rogers wants to go straight up!

As Tivvy's fans continued to hail their triumph at Salisbury just 24 hours earlier on Bank Holiday Monday in the EVO-STIK League Southern's South & West play-off final on social media, Rogers was making no secret of his desire to get the club back into the upper echelons of Non-League football before his side beat Exmouth Town 2-0 to collect the county silverware.

Rogers, who's guided his side back into the top flight following relegation in 2011, was bullish about their chances, telling devonlive.com: "I want promotion again, simple – never take second best. We're getting there now. We've got a lot of work to do next year but I'm prepared to do that.

"I'm ecstatic to get the lads up because there are some good teams in this league, I don't think there'll be teams of the quality of Salisbury and Taunton in abundance at the next level up.

"If we can add a couple of quality to what we've already got, then we'll be a difficult team to beat next year. I don't want to consolidate, I want to go again, and the lads have shown me they're capable of beating really good sides."

He added: "We've got better as the season's gone on, which has given me a big lift."

Tivvy, playing a South West Peninsula League Premier Division Exmouth Town side managed by their former favourite Richard Pears, were forced to come from behind with an Owen Howe hat-trick to win 3-1 at the Devon FA`s headquarters at Newton Abbot after the underdogs took an early lead.

Tivvy fans haven't been holding back on social media from sharing their favourite pictures and memories on Twitter, Facebook and elsewhere ever since Michael Landricombe and Tom Bath started their promotion party in the club's 2-0 victory at the Raymond McEnhill Stadium.

Thanking supporters as they prepared for next season, @tivertontownfc tweeted: "THANK YOU To everyone who travelled to support the team & helped push the team over the line. We could not have done it without U."
