The last three points picked up by Cleeve came at the end of January as they defeated Slimbridge away from home, but they have lost their last two games, to Cirencester Town and and Taunton Town home and away, respectively.
In-spite of their current form and position in the Southern League West table, the Mitres manager, Stephen Ceal, remains upbeat about the remainder of the season and is expecting a fiery affair against their local rivals.
He said: “Given our place in the table, every game is obviously going to be difficult. We have got 16 Cup finals left, starting with Cinderford on Tuesday evening.
“I think given their place in the table, it will add extra spice to the affair and the conditions of the pitch may play a factor on how the game pans out at Cinderford.”
Cinderford Town have not had the best season themselves, with the Foresters currently placed 15th in the league table. Paul Michael’s side have gone through a sticky patch of form, which has seen them lose three games on the bounce.
They will be hopeful of turning things around in what is set to be a monumental clash for both sides. In the return fixture earlier in the season, it was Cinderford who prevailed, winning comfortably 3-0 at Kayte Lane.
