Monday's Central Division action review

By David Watters

Just two days after hitting struggling Petersfield Town for six, rampant Beaconsfield SYCOB moved up to eleventh in the table after winning 5-1 against the team now immediately above them, Chalfont St Peter, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

After finding themselves in the bottom three just over a month back, SYCOB are now one of the division's form sides and this was their seventh successive win.

It took them 25 minutes at Holloways Park to break down the Saints when they were awarded a penalty which top scorer Aaron Berry duly converted. Berry doubled his and Beaconsfield`s tally a minute before the break when he turned in a low cross at the near post.

On the hour-mark the outcome was more or less settled when the home side made it 3-0 on the hour-mark, Ollie Jones drilling home from the edge of the box after Berry hit the post. Berry completed his hat-trick four minutes later with a deft back-heel from a left-wing cross.

Luke Maguire scored a consolation for the Saints in the last minute but there was still time for Callum Bunting to make it a nap hand for SYCOB two minutes into stoppage time.
