Marine to Donate ' Saturday's Match Proceeds'

By David Simpson

Club Statement

‘’Ash Taylor is always a player that does things the right way and shows total commitment to the club. Last Autumn Ash Suffered a fractured heel and tore a tendon in his foot that side-lined him for 6 months. These were very difficult days for Ash. We were so pleased to see Ash return in the home match against Winchester two weeks ago where he played the last 5 minutes. Sadly, in the match at Kidlington last Thursday Ash came on to get more minutes under his belt but soon went down injured and it was discovered he had snapped his Achilles tendon. This was totally unrelated to his previous injury and will again side-line him for at least another 6 months.

Unfortunately Ash is self-employed and once again finds himself in a position where he can’t earn money.

Here at Supermarine we always think of others and the least we can do is present Ash with the gate money for this coming Saturday’s match against Barnstaple. We are hoping for a big turn out to help Ash in what is a massive weekend for the club as we aim to secure a play-off spot’’
