Logistics giants deliver again

EVO-STIK League Southern Banbury United are celebrating the signing of a new sponsorship deal with DHL after the world’s leading express and logistics company renewed their partnership for a third season running.

One of the biggest employers in the town, DHL first teamed up with the Puritans for the 2014-2015 season and delighted officials at The Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium say the partnership is stronger than ever with the worldwide giants now involved with a number of local community projects including Banbury’s youth teams and learning disability sides.

Locally, DHL are solely involved with the storage and distribution of pharmaceutical products and medical devices and they have also told the EVO-STIK League Southern club that the partnership is even closer to their hearts now they are supporter owned.

Banbury chairman Ronnie Johnson said: “DHL is massive worldwide organisation and one of the biggest employers in Banbury, so to have them by our side again for the third season running is fantastic news for the club and our supporters. We look forward to building our relationship with them further.”

Originally founded in 1969 with headquarters in Bonn, Germany to deliver documents between San Francisco and Honolulu, DHL expanded its sea and airmail services throughout the world in the 1970s and now delivers to every nation including global hot-spots like Iran and North Korea.
