Former Cheltenham Town defender Brough, 43, whose side recently beat National League South Weston-super-Mare 2-1 to reach the third qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup, led Cinderford Town to the Southern League Division One South and West title last season.
After holding talks with Cirencester chairman Steve Abbley over the weekend about succeeding Brian Hughes at the Corinium Stadium, gloucestershirelive.co.uk reported on Monday morning that the 43-year-old is going nowhere to target the EVO-STIK League Southern's South & West play-offs and promotion with the Yellows.
North Leigh's official twitter feed also retweeted news from Jon Palmer, the sports editor at the Gloucestershire Echo and Gloucester Citizen, that the former Notts County, Shrewsbury Town, Telford United, Hereford, Newport and Aldershot player and Bishop's Cleeve boss wanted to be in the dugout when his side meet Ryman Premier Folkestone Invicta in the next round of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday 1 October at Eynsham Park.
The Centurions have been looking to replace Hughes since his departure in the wake of their 1-0 home defeat to Kings Langley at the start of September.
Cirencester Town chairman Steve Abbley told the club's fans he hopes to make an appointment this week before their 3-0 reverse at Chesham United on Saturday under assistant manager Jody Bevan in his final game as caretaker boss.
