Following last weekend’s 2-0 home defeat to promotion rivals Hayes & Yeading, City sit seventh in Southern One East and four points off a play-off place with games in hand.
“There’s plenty of irons in the fire and I’m speaking to one or two,” said Nightingale. “I’m hoping to have two loanees in by Saturday – one coming from a Championship club and another from an Isthmian Premier club.
“It’s just a couple of extra bodies to give everyone a bit of a lift, one or two need a bit of a push again. We need to refresh the squad to help push us on
Nightingale also had no complaints about the defeat to Hayes, adding: “We shaded the first half and had the better chances, but we didn’t come out for the second half.
“We should have been one or two goals up but couldn’t get a hold on the game after that, and they were good value for their win.”
