Gearing up for Yate Town

By David Simpson

Injured players returning

Didcot Town return to league action this weekend and are back on the road this time to 12th placed Yate Town. Didcot come into the game after an excellent win over Evesham last Saturday and a spirited performance against Chesham in the Berks and Bucks Cup on Tuesday meanwhile Saturday's opponents Yate come into the game on the back of a draw at Shortwood United last time out.

The 'Bluebells' have been in good form however in particular at home where they have already picked up notable wins over the likes of Wimborne, Swindon Supermarine and Evesham and will no doubt present a very difficult test for the Railwaymen.

After last weekend's "bare bones" squad selection for Didcot there is good news all round for manager Andy Ballard as both central defenders Stuart Cattell and Adam Learoyd return to league action following their suspensions.

Sam Barder and George Reid are both now available as well to the Didcot manager. Callum McNish played 90 minutes on Tuesday and is now back among the Diddy ranks meaning the only 3 concerns for the management are with Seth Humphries who definitely misses out again on Saturday meanwhile Ollie Thomas and Louis Joyce will face fitness tests ahead of the weekend
