King steps down to step up

By David Watters

Former Weymouth boss Brendon King has been appointed as the new manager of Sydenhams Wessex Premier strugglers Hamworthy United.

King, who was number two to Simon Browne at EVO-STIK League Southern Division One South & West Wimborne Town until May, succeeded Carl Poore who quit in October citing family commitments.

King ran Portland United and Chickerill before taking over at the Terras in 2011. He is back after being sacked in December 2013 by the EVO-STIK League Southern Premier Division club following a run of poor results.
