Fundraiser hands over proceeds

EVO-STIK League Southern Stratford Town have helped a local restaurant owner raise £500 for Prostate Cancer UK by hosting series of football matches.

Carl Pritchard, owner of 33 The Scullery, is pictured handing over a cheque for the funds after staging the matches at the EVO-STIK League Southern Premier Division club's DCS Stadium to celebrate his 60th birthday!

Another £2,300 was also handed over in support of Stratford Town Colts U11s player Enzo Buquet who is currently fighting lymphoma after being diagnosed in June this year.

The money was raised at a special football fun day at Knights Lane recently when the Bishopton Primary School pupil got the chance to meet former Premier League footballer Stiliyan Petrov who has also battled the disease.
