Hunt for sponsor ends in success

EVO-STIK League Southern King's Lynn Town are celebrating the signing of a new front of shirt sponsorship deal.

The Linnets - without a home kit sponsor since the new EVO-STIK League Southern season kicked off back in August - have clinched a deal with local firm Double G Clothing.

Founded in 1993 by partners Gordon Chilvers and Graham Bennett, the business is already well known to the club's fans as sponsors of the club's reserves.

The duo, pictured with the newly sponsored kit and King's Lynn Town chairman Stephen Cleeve on the pitch at The Walks, also sponsor the King’s Lynn and District Sunday Football League and work closely with a number of charities including Bridge for Heroes, Red Wellies and Reach for a Star.

With 45 years of experience between them in the wholesale clothing distribution trade, their current customers range from the NHS and RAF to schools, universities, colleges, sports clubs and numerous local companies.

In a statement unveiling Double G Clothing, Cleeve told the club's fans the newly sponsored kit would be on sale for the first time on Saturday when Gary Setchell's side host Dorchester Town in the EVO-STIK League Southern's top flight.

He said: “We are very pleased to finally get the sponsor on the home shirt and the club shop will be open on Saturday for sales of the new shirt. I would personally like to thank Gordon and Graham for their continued association with King’s Lynn Town FC.”
