Along with Ollie McCoy and Logan Kwiecien, Bunting was one of three players from the EVO-STIK League Southern Division One Central club to turn out for the Championsip club's U23s this week while on trial.
The hot-shot, who had trials with both Scunthorpe United and Crewe Alexandra last season before missing the first two months of the current campaign with an ankle injury, earned another shot at the pro game thanks to run of 10 goals in 13 games since returning.
Bunting told www.getbucks.co.uk: “I missed first two months of the season, which was a pain as I was feeling fit and then had to do pre-season all over again. But I'm now feeling better than I was last season, amd although it took me two or three games to get back into it, I'm scoring goals now.
“I've got the sharpness back and feel back to my best. I had a nice little run of nine goals in eight games, so a few more goals and hopefully people will be looking at the goal scoring charts and I will get spotted.
“The experience I had with my trials last season were quality and taught me a lot, which I've taken into this season – especially playing against first team players at Crewe and against Rotherham's reserve at Scunthorpe.
“It was a great experience, and a different ball game playing against men to U18s football. I was told they like players who get after the ball and work hard, so I'm trying to add that to my game, but goals are what they look for first an foremost, so I've got to keep scoring.”
Buckinghamshire's SYCOB, who beat Arlesey Town 3-0 last Saturday without Bunting's help to make it four wins in a row and climb further from trouble at the wrong end of the table, head to bottom side Petersfield Town this Saturday before hosting neighbours Chalfont St Peter at Holloways Park on Monday night.
