Boro manager Spencer Day, pictured, has told fans that he can guide them to promotion after the club was automatically demoted last season following a Football Association ruling on their CVA and a failure to pay off creditors.
That’s in the past says Day who has pieced together a strong looking squad as they look to climb back up to Step 3. His star summer signing as they look to start life in the EVO-STIK League Southern Central Division is former Luton Town defender Curtis Osano.
Keeper Joel Driscoll, 19, and Hendon’s Melvin Minter on dual registration, have also arrived and the Cherrywood Road boss isn’t concerned about opening their campaign against expected title challengers Bedford Town.
Day told GetHampahire: “It’s a really tough start but I am glad about that. I want the players to know how difficult it is going to be this season and I want them focused. We’re in good nick. We are happy with the players we’ve added to the squad and we want to have a good season.”
