Champions trending on Twitter!

Hereford FC were trending on social media on Saturday after winning promotion to the EVO-STIK League Southern's top flight!

The EVO-STIK League Southern Division One South & West champions were one of the hot topics on Twitter as messages of congratulations flooded in from fellow fans and clubs around the world for claiming back-to-back promotions with a 4-0 win Salisbury.

The rampant Bulls claimed the title in March after nearest rivals Taunton and Tiverton both lost and ran out of games to catch the runaway leaders who were 2-0 up in front of 1,807 spectators at the Raymond McEnhill Stadium within the first 13 minutes before adding two more goals either side of the break.

After seeing his side triumph, Hereford manager Peter Beadle told the club's radio station: "I am proud of all the players and I always have been from day one as they always wear the shirt with pride. It is a privilege and an honour to represent this club and to have won the league now is a credit to the players.

"The players and all my staff have been absolutely fantastic and have all played a huge part in moving this club forward again with this huge achievement of winning back-to-back titles."

The club's officials are now planning an all ticket promotion party for fans at Edgar Street next Saturday when they host Wantage Town.
