The Barum boss, pictured, is standing down on Saturday after his side's final outing of the 2016-17 EVO-STIK League Southern Division One South & West campaign at Shortwood United.
Appointed three and half years ago, Yeo won back-to-back promotions to take the Devon club from Division One of the Western League to EVO-STIK League Southern Division One South & West.
Barnstaple Town chairman Jasmine Chesters is now inviting potential candidates with the experience to build on Yeo's success in the EVO-STIK League Southern to make contact with officials at Mill Road hoping to have their new manager in place within weeks.
A club spokesman said: "Barnstaple Town Football Club are inviting applications for the position of manager, as Barry Yeo is stepping down after our club's first season in the Southern League. Information on this can be seen on our Facebook page, our Twitter page and on the news section of our club's website. Any interested parties should contact chairman Jasmine Chesters at jbchesters4@gmail.com."
Yeo, who will take a break from football after his 196th game at the helm this weekend, thanked the Mill Road faithful for their support after his side's final home game of the campaign, Easter Monday's 4-0 defeat at the hands of promotion-chasing Tiverton Town.
Yeo said: "Many many thanks to all the supporters for their support. It’s been a great journey and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it.”
