Yate with three wins on the bounce

By David Simpson

The way to end 2017

On a heavy pitch not helped by driving rain in the second half Yate played the better football creating numerous chances and causing the Mangotsfield defense all sorts of problems with our pace and creativity.

An own goal after 15 mins and a second after 35 mins by Adam Price (his first for the club) gave us a comfortable half time lead. Although chances were created by both sides in the second half we never really looked under pressure with Nick Peare; Adam Price and Theo Llewellyn controlling the midfield and the pace of Kyle Tooze up front.

The game was wrapped up after 75 mins when Ben Brooks finished off a cross from close range after great work from toozey to retrieve a lost ball and cut inside to make the cross.

The game looked to be petering out with less than 5 mins to go when Mangotsfield got their consolation goal which I'm sure Harvey and our defenders will be disappointed in conceding. Another fine display from Sam Boulton in the heart of the defense alongside Charlie and Trey Anderson who is becoming mr versatile having been asked to play left back yesterday and putting in another solid performance.
