Wednesday's Evo-Stik South, West Review

By Jack Moore

Kidlington came into their home game with Cirencester Town having not lost in the Evo-Stik League South, West since August 28th at neighbours Didcot Town.

Cirencester, relegated from the Premier Division at the end of last season, haven`t found the lower division easy by any means, but did manage to hold high-flying Bristol Manor Farm to a 2-2 draw last time out.

It was a real stalemate at Yarnton Road until Darius Browne popped up with Kidlington`s opener 4 minutes before half-time when he clipped the ball over the visiting keeper.

The home side bossed possession but weren`t able to find a killer second goal.

And they were made to pay 18 minutes from time when Ben Whitehead equalised for the visitors.

Kidlington looked for a winner, but the majority of their attacks floundered on the edge of the area.

The point leaves them two behind tenth-placed Didcot and four adrift of the top six with games in hand on most around them.
