Slimbridge are aiming to arrest their slump down the Southern League Division One West table as they face Winchester City on Wednesday night (7.45pm), writes Oli Fell.

The Swans sit 20th in the table, and haven’t won since mid-October in a 3-0 victory against Barnstaple.

AFC Totton piled more misery on Freddy Ward’s men. After Alex Hoyle was sent off on the hour mark, Totton scored twice to condemn Slimbridge to another defeat.

They now face promotion chasing Winchester City, who defeated Larkhall Athletic 3-1 at the weekend.

Ward said: “It was a topsy turvy game up until the sending off, both sides had chances to score.

"I was pleased with a few of the players. The ref lost control a bit to be honest, both sides could have had penalties.
