Vandals steal charity cash

Ashford Town (Middlesex) are urging fans and members of their local community to help track down the thieves and vandals who've raided the EVO-STIK League Southern club's home.

The EVO-STIK League Southern Division One Central's Tangerines are cleaning up at the Robert Parker Stadium this week and counting the cost of raid that also saw funds collected for charity stolen.

The Tangerines, who finished the 2016-17 campaign in tenth spot under manager Ben Murray, used their official Twitter account on Tuesday to confirm they'd become the latest Non-League club to fall victim to vandals in recent weeks, @ashfordtownmx tweeting: "Club can confirm that it was broken into last night with high levels of damage and money raised for charity and the club taken. If anyone has any information then please get in touch with us ASAP."

Ryman League Aveley were forced to cancel a number of charity fixtures last week after thieves and vandals struck at their Mill Field home before they move into a new multi-million pound stadium next season.
