Tuesday's South & West action review

By David Watters

There were just a couple of games in the EVO-STIK League Southern Division One South & West on Tuesday night but they produced 14 goals, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

North Leigh may just have too much to do to make a top five challenge now, but they moved above hosts Shortwood United into ninth spot after a 5-2 win.

Stuart Hole bagged a first half brace, sandwiched by a 40th minute Jordan Lymm goal. All that was after Nick Humphreys had given United a fifth minute lead.

Adam Price`s own goal made it 3-1 just before the hour-mark, with Nick Peare adding a second for the hosts two minutes later, only for George Seacole to make it a nap hand for the Oxfordshire visitors a minute from time.

Paulton Rovers got the better of Barnstaple Town by the odd goal in seven.

Kyle Paine gave Barum a 20th minute lead that Ryan Radford and Elliott Gibbons turned round within a minute just before the interval.

Two minutes after it Sol Wheatley made it 3-1 to Rovers, only for Ryan Turner after 58 minutes and James Blake on 65 minutes to pull Barum level. But Jordan Ricketts won it for his dad Tony`s side with an 82nd minute fourth.
