A Liam McDevitt own goal set the Canaries off and running after just eight minutes, followed by a Matt Lench second just three minutes later. On-loan Jonny McNamara added a third right on half-time to secure a comfortable second half for the visitors.
Cinderford Town are not mathematically down, and the bottom-markers need an almost biblical-type miracle, but took three points off that improbability after a 4-2 home win against Frome Town.
Nick Harrhy put the Foresters in front from the spot on the half-hour mark and Callum McConie added a second within a minute. Sam Teale reduced the arrears five minutes later and then on the hour-mark, Frome pulled level, courtesy of a Jake Jackson penalty. But McConie on 77 minutes and Jarred Welch four minutes later earned Cinderford a first win in five matches.
St Neots Town gave their hopes of staying up a massive boost with a 2-1 win at The Walks against King`s Lynn Town.
And that`s after playing 75 minutes of the contest with just ten-men after striker James Tricks was dismissed for an elbowing offence. The Saints are now eight points clear of the drop zone after goals from the in-demand Jevani Brown in the seventh and 74th minutes proved enough, despite an 84th minute reply by Jacek Zielonka.
