Tuesday's South & West action review

By David Watters

There were only a couple of games in the EVO-STIK League Southern Division One South & West on Tuesday night but they involved the top two, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

And they both won, which means Hereford FC still head the table by just a point from Mangotsfield United.

In front of another terrific crowd of 2,033, the Bulls were really made to scrap by lowly Paulton Rovers.

Jake Sinclair gave the home side a 15th minute lead that Jordan Ricketts cancelled out from the penalty spot just past the half-hour mark. But it wasn`t until two minutes into stoppage time at the end of the game that top scorer John Mills popped up with the Bulls` winner.

At Cossham Street, Ryan Bath gave the Mangos an early fifth minute lead against mid-table Slimbridge.

Lewis Powell then bagged a quickfire brace in the 23rd and 28th minutes that eventually sealed victory.
