Tuesday's Central Division review

By David Watters

Chalfont St Peter are the only side to possess a 100 per cent record after they beat Beaconsfield SYCOB at home on Tuesday night in the EVO-STIK League Southern's Division One Central, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

But the Saints left it very, very late - Adam Kirby`s winner coming in the third minute of stoppage time at the end of the game.

Newly-promoted AFC Dunstable, Potters Bar Town, Hanwell Town and Royston Town all remain unbeaten so far.

AFC Dunstable were held to a 1-1 draw by neighbours Barton Rovers at Sharpenhoe Road with Jermaine Hall cancelling out Roderick Orlando-Young`s 54th minute opener for the hosts in the 61st minute.

Potters Bar and Royston shared a goalless draw – the visiting Crows third draw thus far.

Hanwell were also forced to share the points at home to new boys Ashford Town (Middx), who are now on seven points.

The Tangerines were behind twice to James Simmonds after 37 minutes and a Romario Jonas own goal seven minutes from time, but fought back twice through a Mark Bitmead brace on 69 minutes from the spot and then in injury-time.

Arlesey Town, Aylesbury FC and Bedford Town all recorded their first wins of 2016-17 on Tuesday.

Arlesey won 2-0 at the Glassworld Stadium against relegated Histon, courtesy of a Taylor Rhiney brace on 46 and 71 minutes.

The Moles won by the same scoreline at Northwood, thanks to Elijah Bada and Jon Montgomery in the final three minutes of the game.

The Eagles chose their local derby against close neighbours AFC Kempston Rovers to achieve their first win.

A crowd of 303 saw the new boys break the deadlock after 61 minutes through Josh Winters, only for Luke Knight eight minutes later and then Jemale McKenzie-Lowe 10 minutes from time, to earn local bragging rights.

There were second wins for Marlow, 2-1 at home to newcomers Kidlington, who have just one point, and for Uxbridge, 4-1 at Honeycroft against Petersfield Town.

Isaac Osei-Tutu and Devontae Romeo outgunned Kidlington`s Lewis Coyle, while Matty Woods bagged a brace and Abibaker Eisa and Aaron McLeish singles for Uxbridge – Danny Simmonds replying.

Farnborough, switched from the Ryman League, are second after recording a third win, 4-0 at Cherrywood Road against Egham Town, thanks to a Nic Ciardini brace after Keith Emmerson and Jamie Cureton had given Boro a 2-0 lead.
