Teen star secures dream move

Beaconsfield SYCOB striker Ollie McCoy completed a dream New Year move from Holloways Park to the Football League on Thursday.

The talented teenager signed professional terms with Birmingham City after impressing during extended trials before Christmas with the St Andrews club.

The right-winger and forward, pictured in action for the Blues, has signed an 18-month contract until 30 June 2018 with City's U23s side. To date, McCoy has played five competitive games for the Championship giant's development squad and scored one goal.

Former Maidenhead United frontman McCoy was on trial at Stoke City earlier in the season after the club's record-breaking run in the Emirates FA Cup came to an end in the fourth and final qualifying round.

In turning pro, the forward is following in the footsteps of former SYCOB striker Omari Patrick who started last season with the EVO-STIK League Southern Division One Central club and signed for Championship outfit Barnsley in September following a spell with Kidderminster Harriers.
