Teammates With Jack French

By Jack Moore

We've been getting to know the Hartley Wintney squad.

The Row currently sit in sixth place and have adjusted well to life at the higher level. Jack French has been giving us an insight about the group.

First to training?
Luke Tuffs, always first enthusiastically setting up the session.

Last to training?
Paul Strudley, great keeper but always late.

Managers pet?
Paul Hodges, the man can do no wrong. How can you have a go at that face!

Worst trainer?
Steven duff, like most things you don’t even realise he’s there half the time, loves a night out.

Most likely to go into management?
Rowan Vine, always giving good advice personally on and off the pitch, loves a 1 to 1 chat with you on and off the pitch, always in your ear with words passed down from Harry Redknapp and Steve Bruce, can even do the impressions.

Most intelligent?
Eric the God groundsman/physio/kitman/all round Hartley legend, Guardiola of his generation, has watched the game for over a century now and knows a decent player when he sees one.

Least intelligent?
Louis Paget, if he had a brain he’d be deadly.

Joker of the squad?
I’d say the banter is good all round, but if I’d have to give it to someone I’d say Paul Hodges - gets everyone going on the coach journey with his guitar and David Brent tribute.
