Former Swansea City youngster Owain Jones has agreed to join the club.
Swansea born Jones began his career at Swansea City, and had a loan spell at Yeovil Town in 2017. Jones is an attacking player and has represented Wales at U16, U17, U19 and U21 level. The paperwork has been submitted to the league and his registration should be completed in time for tomorrow’s game.
The Martyrs will be looking to build on Tuesday’s win and improved second half performance against Dunstable Town. The win saw Merthyr reach 38 points, 29 points ahead of Gosport Borough. The squad was boosted with the return of Jarrad Wright from suspension, and Kerry Morgan is in the squad after his recent injury. Ryan Prosser is set to miss out with a injury. Prosser is due to be presented with an award after making his 300th appearance for the club against Kettering Town last month.
