Rebels first team striker Gavin James joined the youngsters hoping to win a place with the Slough Town Academy at Arbour Park on Thursday for the first of five trials for the EVO-STIK League Southern Premier Division club's 2017-18 intake in September.
A club spokesman said: "The trial was a success, with the boys very impressed after their tour of the sports hall and gym, all of which is all brand new on site. They were also impressed with the Arbour Park site, particularly the quality of pitch and the ability to play good football on it, and the feel of playing in the stadium itself.
"Indeed, many said it was like being at a ‘pro club’. They liked the fact that there are lots of opportunities to make their way up the ladder at Slough Town."
The session was filmed and photgraphed and the club added: "The boys all engaged in the session and displayed a wealth of talent which was great to see. They have all been invited back for another trial and are keen to sign up to the programme.
"Thanks also to first-team player Gavin James, who took the time to attend part of the session. Well done again to all that attended, and we look forward to hosting future trials."
The promotion-chasing Rebels side of Neil Baker and Jon Underwood were hosting second-placed Merthyr Town on Saturday in the EVO-STIK League Southern's top flight.
