Apart from beating fellow promotion chasers Merthyr Town 3-1 on Saturday to extend their unbeaten run to 20 games and maintain their four point lead over nearest rivals Leamington, the Bluebirds were honoured at Hardenhuish Park in front of 723 spectators, their biggest gate of the season so far.
Proud Bluebirds chairman Neil Blackmore is pictured collecting their award as February's EVO-STIK League Southern Premier Division Club of the Month from Merthyr Town director Anthony Hughes who switched to his role as an EVO-STIK League Southern director before kick-off to make the presentation.
Named as one of February's performance kings alongside Royston Town and Tiverton Town, like all winners of the accolades, sponsored by the Southern League's title sponsors EVO-STIK again this season to recognise and reward the top performers among the 68 clubs, the Bluesbirds were presented with a cut glass trophy to record their success and 4.5L bottles of Bell's Whisky to toast their success with.
Chippenham Town boss Mark Collier and his top flight leaders earned their first performance honours of the campaign back in August after making a flying start to the new season.
With a pack of clubs chasing them, they did their title challenge no harm in February while winning for a second time, taking 16 points from a possible 18 on offer. Averaging 2.667 points per game from five wins and a draw, Collier's side scored 10 goals and conceded three.
