Kidlington, with new manager Julian McCalmon watching from the stands, beat Fleet Town 3–1 at home.
Jack Dunmall netted a hat-trick, giving his side a 41st minute lead at half-time. But this was levelled up by Ben White seven minutes into the second half.
After this set back Kidlington added further goals in the 67th and 75th minutes to complete Dunmall's hat-trick and the home side`s first three points since winning promotion.
Kidlington were, in fact, the only winners on the day as the other three matches all ended in draws.
Bedford Town were 2-0 up, courtesy of Lee Roache after 11 minutes and a Nathan Frater penalty on 22 minutes at the New Eyrie against another of the newcomers, Ashford Town (Middx).
But the Tangerines fought back to level through Jack Beadle after 56 minutes and a Mark Bitmead spot-kick 16 minutes from time.
Second-bottom Petersfield Town led at Marlow through Danny Simmonds` 35th minute effort.
The home side had been hampered by an early injury to keeper Simon Grant and with no sub keeper available, outfield player Marcus Mealing donned the gloves.
Chris Ovenden equalised seven minutes after half-time from the spot and then Anaclet Odhiambo immediately put the hosts in front. But Mealing was beaten again five minutes later when Simmonds bagged his second, also from the spot.
Aylesbury United could have gone joint top with a win at Northwood but had to be content with a point after Sonny French cancelled out Ryan Debattista`s 35th minute opener for Wood in the 57th minute.
