The ex-North Greenford United and Hillingdon Borough boss, pictured, has been hailing his current squad as he prepares for his third season at the Pakex Stadium.
Ringrose is targetting an improvement on last season's 12th place finish in EVO-STIK League Southern Division One Central and is confident he has the right personnel after retaining the likes of skipper Garry Jones, striker Dave Lawrence and keeper Ben Goode as well as adding six new faces including prolific forward Michael Murray.
Ringrose told the Potters Bar edition of the Welwyn Hatfield Times: “I believe we’ve got as good a squad here as we’ve had since I joined the club. We’ve got a different mentality of players if we get the right 11 out on the park.
“I think there’s a lot of ability there and I’m happy with the new signings so we’re in good shape with the season just round the corner. It’s a squad that we’ve got a lot of confidence in and know that we can get good results with so we’re looking to aim high.”
The Scholars kick off the 2016-17 season next weekend against Aylesbury United and he added: “We’re just getting to the point where we know what the nucleus of the squad is and we virtually know what the starting line-up a week on Saturday will be subject to injuries and suspensions. We’ve got a couple of players we’re still looking at but we’re near enough all set for the new season.”
