Reds ready for Kings

Team ready to battle

Redditch United hope to continue their good form at The TRICO this weekend, with struggling Kings Langley the visitors for this Evo-Stik Southern Premier clash.

With one defeat in four games, Manager Tim Harris saw his side battle hard for a point at play-off chasing Banbury United on Tuesday night, with Adam Page and Ashley Sammons pulling the strings in midfield to help secure a deserved draw.

Spirits are high as the club continues to put in good displays, particularly at home. However, the same cannot be said for Kings Langley, who are currently 22nd in the table and are without a win in eight. Steve Conroy’s side picked up a point at Kettering Town last time out to move them way clear of the relegation zone.

Redditch United First Team Manager, Time Harris, was pleased with the team’s display at Banbury, but is determined to keep them focused heading into this game.

He said: “Banbury are a very strong, physical side and we worked really hard. We conceded two very poor goals but the team showed great character to get back and earn a good point.

“The players have given me everything so far, but we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves or you will become unstuck. We are still up against it, so we will continue to work hard to get the results.”

Harris will be missing Nathan Fox for the game, as the defender has a hamstring injury which will rule him out for the foreseeable future. Whereas, Marcel Simpson and Lewis Wright could feature after picking up knocks in midweek.
