Ramshaw is Law's new number two

Former Eastwood Town, Hednesford, Hucknall, Kidsgrove Athletic, Leek, Lincoln United, Shepshed Dynamo, Sutton Town, Eastwood Town and Rugby Town coach and manager John Ramshaw is the new assistant manager at EVO-STIK League Southern Kettering Town.

Ramshaw, pictured, was unveiled as the newest member of Marcus Law's backroom team at the EVO-STIK League Southern Premier Division club on Saturday after leaving Rugby Town where he was number two to James Jepson before the former Poppies midfielder stood down as Valley boss last week.

Before joining Rugby in the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League, Ramshaw spent the last few years in the professional game as director of Mansfield Town's academy before a stint last season as assistant manager of National League outfit Torquay United.

A Poppies spokesman said: "We can announce now that John Ramshaw has joined Marcus Law's backroom team as assistant manager. John has built up a wealth of Managerial experience mainly in Non-League in the North and East Midlands and Poppies fans may remember him at both Hucknall and Eastwood Town."

Law has also signed former Northampton Town player Lewis Hornby on a two-year contract. After taking time out of the fame following a bad ijnury at the Cobblers, the 21-year-old is now striving to get back to full fitness and agreed to become contracted to further his career in the EVO-STIK League Southern's top flight.
