Rams sign for Italian sports giants!

EVO-STIK League Southern Petersfield Town have signed a ground-breaking deal with Italian sportswear giants Kappa.

The first of its kind for a Non-League club, the Rams officially unveiled the new kit supplier and marketing partnership at Love Lane on Saturday when they hosted Barton Rovers in EVO-STIK League Southern Division One Central.

The Rams are set to be completely rebranded after teaming up with Kappa and Soft Ground Firm Ground (SGFG) as part of a deal normally reserved for professional clubs.

Petersfield Town chairman Graeme Moir said: “We are absolutely delighted to be able to announce our ground-breaking deal with Kappa and SGFG. We are immensely proud to be the first non-league club in the country to have entered into this kind of agreement with both companies.

“For a company like Kappa, who are such a big name in football, to want to enter into an agreement with a club at our level shows just how much potential there is at Petersfield to take this club on to a different level. Also, SGFG’s professionalism in helping us to develop the new kit designs and the image and branding changes has been absolutely superb.

“This new deal will make a huge difference to our football club and we are proud that Kappa have chosen to support us on our journey in the seasons ahead. With their support we believe we now have key partners in place which will help to push Petersfield Town Football Club forwards.”

Kappa supply kits to some of the biggest clubs in world football, including Napoli, Torino, Standard Liege, Borussia Monchengladbach and a whole host of clubs in South America, Africa and Asia.

A Kappa spokesman said: “We are absolutely delighted to have entered into this agreement with Petersfield Town Football Club. It shows that as a company not only do we support professional clubs but we also support clubs at all levels of the game in this country.

“We have helped to create a stunning new look for the team as well as for the branding of the club – which all parties are really pleased with. We look forward to working with Petersfield Town Football Club and sharing in their successes in the years to come.”
