Dorchester Town have confirmed that Jason Brookes, Crit Clarke, Alex Stafie and Ben Morris have all committed to the Magpies ahead of the new Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division South season.

Versatile midfielder Brookes, who is also an academy coach with Vanarama National League side Eastleigh, is one of the longest-serving players in the squad having originally signed for Dorchester back in 2014 and has made 77 appearances to date.

Dorchester-born defender Clarke joined the club last summer and made 21 appearances for Steve Thompson’s side, having also featured for Portland United and Hamworthy United in the Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) Premier in the previous campaign.

Romanian striker Stafie made his debut for the Magpies towards the end of last season and made a number of appearances from the substitutes bench, having also played for Toolstation Western League Division One sides Chard Town and Sherborne Town.

Young winger Morris, who scored in Dorchester`s two opening pre-season friendlies away at Saltash United and Portland, was a regular for the reserve side last year and won the player of the season award.
