Puritans announce reunion date

Banbury United have announced the date of their now annual reunion day for former players of the EVO-STIK League Southern club.

The Puritans are urging their fans to let any former players know that the get-together is taking place this season on Saturday 4 February when they are due to host Cambridge City in the EVO-STIK League Southern's top flight at The Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium.

Many of the club's former stars are pictured at last year's event and a spokesman said: "It is likely to be a less formal event than last year without the parade but we are keen to have a day when former players can return to the club and reminisce with former colleagues and supporters about their time at the club.

"There will be free entry to all former first team Banbury United players. Further details will follow nearer the date but we hope as many former players as possible will be able to enter this date into their diary. If supporters know of former players we would appreciate letting them know of the date.
