Claridge insisted his EVO-STIK League Southern Division One South & West runners-up must be more clinical after having to rely on an extra-time winner in Wednesday night's 2-1 semi-final victory over Evesham United to keep their dream of playing in the top flight next season alive.
Speaking ahead of the 3pm kick-off, he said: "We have to finish and we have to make more of our chances and finish the job. I look at our last win and if we had done that they would have been long gone and it would have been no doubt that the game was over.”
After overcoming rivals Taunton Town 3-1 on Wednesday evening in a memorable fixture at Ladysmead, Tiverton boss Martyn Rogers insisted doing the double over Salisbury during the regular season would mean nothing in the showdown at the Raymond McEnhill Stadium.
He told Yellows fans: “I think that’s irrelevant – you’ve only got to look at the Taunton result to see that. It’s going to be on the day but we know that, if we play well, we’ll give them a hard time.
“Likewise, if they play well, we’ll have a hard time. So it’s going to be quite a good game to witness. Both games we had against them were tight so it’s whoever plays well on the day.”
