Andy Peaks says the AFC Rushden & Diamonds players are making his job of managing the team “easy” at the moment. Diamonds maintained their charge towards promotion with a 1-0 victory over Chalfont St Peter at Hayden Road last weekend with Tom Lorraine’s 34th-minute header proving decisive.
“The players are making my job easy at the moment. I am picking the team and they are going out there and managing themselves. “They are hungry, they are working hard and there is a massive desire to do well.
The win extended Diamonds’ unbeaten run in the Evo-Stik South League East to 17 matches and ensured they stayed three points clear at the summit.
