Andy Peaks has urged his AFC Rushden & Diamonds players to “stay focused” as they bid to return to winning ways tonight (Tuesday).
Diamonds head into the home clash with Uxbridge on the back of two defeats in a row, which have seen their lead at the top of the Evo-Stik South League East cut to two points.
But they can move clear again in the race for the two automatic promotion places with a win at Hayden Road this evening before they head to Beaconsfield Town for a top-of-the-table showdown on Saturday. Diamonds suffered a 1-0 loss to Hayes & Yeading United a week ago and were beaten again, 2-1 at Hartley Wintney, at the weekend.
And boss Peaks said: “This is the most important game of the season because it’s the next one.
