WIMBORNE Town boss Matty Holmes believes his side’s next three fixtures will provide a precise measure of how far they have progressed.
Magpies surpassed their previous season’s Southern League West total of 57 points following Saturday’s 5-2 home triumph over Barnstaple Town.
But with promotion hopefuls Taunton Town, Bristol Manor Farm and Salisbury to come over the next week, third-place Wimborne are set to enter a defining spell of their campaign.
Speaking ahead of tomorrow’s clash at league leaders Taunton (7.45pm) Holmes told the Daily Echo: “The next three games will be a really big test and will show how much these boys want to kick on to finish the season strongly.
“You can’t get better games than Taunton, Bristol Manor Farm and Salisbury. It is going to be a great challenge and we will see where we are.”
