Mutton`s Back At Redditch

Loan deal..

Evo-Stik League South Premier club Redditch United have confirmed that former favourite James Mutton has re-joined the club on loan from Evo-Stik League Premier side Hednesford Town.

Mutton will spend a month at The Trico, and the defender went straight into the team in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Kings Langley.

The central defender began his career as a trainee at Birmingham City, before stints with Coleshill Town and Stratford Town.

In 2013, he signed for Redditch and earned a reputation as an uncompromising and no-nonsense centre-back during his time with the club.

After a four-year spell, Mutton left Redditch in May 2017 to join Hednesford. However, he has temporarily re-joined the Reds and will add competition to boss Tim Harris’ squad.

Harris told the club`s official Pitchero website: “I am absolutely delighted to have eventually signed James, as over the last few seasons I have previously tried to obtain his services. Not only is he a local lad, but he is a solid defender who will certainly add to what we have available”.
