The Sarnies launched their hunt for a successor to Meakin on Wednesday after he confirmed he was standing down at the EVO-STIK League Southern Division One Central club's Runnymede Stadium after nearly two years at the helm.
Former Northwood, Wingate & Finchley, Beaconsfield SYCOB and Burnham boss Meakin, pictured, was appointed in September 2015 as the successor to Trevor Norris and called time on his tenure after guiding the club to a fifth-placed finish to the campaign. As a player, Meakin turned out for Doncaster Rover, Telford, Hendon, Harrow Borough, Northwood and Hillingdon Borough.
In a short statement on their website, the Sarnies said: "The Egham Town chairman received a voicemail message from Gary Meakin last night confirming he is resigning his post as manager of Egham Town. The club is therefore now seeking a new manager to take the club forward for the forthcoming season."
Potential candidates to succeed Meakin should contact the club via email at: ghamtownfcltd1991@yahoo.co.uk.
