Linnets set to host the “Boro”

The Linnets have their second home fixture of the week on Saturday when 15th placed Farnborough are at The Walks for a Southern Premier Division fixture (3pm).

Lynn will be in buoyant mood ahead of the weekend following last weekend’s win at table topping Hereford which was followed up by Tuesday’s hard fought 1-0 victory over 5th placed Slough Town thanks to a Tom Ward second half strike.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s game manager Ian Culverhouse told www.kltown.co.uk has warned that there is still an awful lot of work to do between now and the end of the season as the promotion race.

“Yes, we’re in a decent position ‘ said Culverhouse, But I have stressed that we have to now keep the momentum we have got going again through to the season’s end. We have had two extreme tests in the space of five days and have passed the examination well.

“The players have collectively given everything for the cause and there were a few tired bodies in my changing room after Tuesday, They have been excellent for me for large patches of the season and I’ve told them they have to keep it up if they want to achieve and reach their personal ambitions. Farnborough will be difficult and in their case I think they are a better team than their league standing reflects.

“We were poor down there when they defeated us earlier in the season and on the day they gave us a bit of a lesson .

“It’s not about revenge for us, It’s another game with the usual reward of three points for winning it.

“It makes no difference if you’re playing the top side or a mid table side in this division. Every team on their day has it in them to inflict damage on whoever they are up against.

“Nothing in football is a given and you always have to work hard to earn the right to win a game – Saturday will be no different’.
