Linnets set for Away Day to Devon.

Only 530 miles !!!

The Linnets make the long trek to Ladysmead, home of Tiverton Town on Saturday for their latest Southern Premier Division fixture.

Lynn currently sit second in the table with the likes of Weymouth and Kettering Town snapping at their heels.

It is hoped that both Ryan Fryatt ( ankle ) and Tom Ward ( shoulder ) will be available for selection however both will be given as long as possible to prove their fitness, Cameron King is still a few weeks away from a possible return.

Speaking to www.kltown.co.uk ahead of Saturday’s clash manager Ian Culverhouse is expecting a difficult afternoon in Devon at the weekend.

“They are a decent outfit but then that applies to a few teams in this league. They were really in the mix a few weeks ago but for whatever reason they have fell away a little just of late.

“I’m sure though that Martyn Rogers ( manager) will be telling them that they can still make the play off’s with a good run. They will be desperate to put Tuesday evening’s defeat (3-0 against Kettering) behind them and they will be dangerous of course.

“We didn’t take our chances last weekend against Banbury and it cost us a couple of points although the point we gained could prove to be vital come April.

“Everything is incredibly close in the league at the moment. It’s been like that for all of the season and I’m sure that’s how it will remain for here on in, But it’s all about us at the end of the day and if we keep picking up points both home and away we will remain in the mix.

“I have a great set of lads who give their all, week in, week out for me and this club. As I said last weekend we are batting well above our average in my opinion against some real big hitters in this division. I am proud of their efforts to date as our supporters should be as well’.

Town won the reverse fixture by a 2 – 0 margin in September thanks to goals from Craig Parker and Ryan Hawkins. Tiverton are currently in ninth place in the Southern League table.
