Linnets progress on many fronts

Hard work ongoing

Chairman Stephen Cleeve has indicated that the new first team Manager of King’s Lynn Town should be announced next week.

Speaking to www.kltown.co.uk Cleeve said “It’s been a hectic few days as the closing date for applications was only last Saturday evening. “I have been speaking with some very interesting candidates and we are now at the stage where a decision has been made as to who will be the next manager.

“There are a few loose ends to tie up but I envisage no foreseeable problems and I think the fans will be very happy on our choice. It’s a decision that has needed much consideration and thought as it has to be the right one for all of the club and on that front we have, in my opinion, the right man’. Once in place he will be speaking with last year’s squad.

“Despite rumours circulating at present only Cameron Norman has left the club.

Cleeve also revealed even though it was less than two weeks ago when the last ball was kicked in anger work is already underway in many areas of the club behind the scenes.

“Everyone is already busy in preparing thing’s for next season’ added Cleeve. ‘ Work begins on the pitch next week with the new drainage being laid by the contractors and following on from that work to the playing surface can begin.

“I am making very good progress in securing a shirt sponsor for next season and again an announcement on that front will be made in due course. On the negative side we have lost our bar manager and some of our match day stewards and I would like to thank them for all of their work for the club over the years. We are already recruiting more staff for the stadium bars and catering points and a new bar manager will be in place shortly following interviews.

“A decision on our match day stewarding arrangements will be made in due course. Overall we are making some good progress in many areas and we will be shortly announcing season ticket details and match day admission prices for 2018/19.

“Supporters must understand that myself and my staff are working hard to put everything into place for the new season. A lot of these situations need much arranging and several meetings before we can announce confirmation or news. Your patience would be greatly appreciated’.
