Linnets look to continue winning streak.

Linnets boss Ian Culverhouse is praying for better weather as King’s Lynn Town return to home Walks action on Saturday with Merthyr visiting in the Southern Premier Division (3pm).

“I have to admit I have been keeping an eye on the weather predictions for this week and Saturday and thankfully it’s looking a lot better than it has been of late, Myself and the players were disappointed that Monday was off but I have seen pictures of the ground and there was no way we could have played on there.

“The re arranged date is not great (12th April) as it’s 48 hours ahead of the trip to Slough. The problem is that Kettering are behind with their fixtures and are still involved with their County Cup and it has left us few options when slotting the game in’

“Looking to Saturday and it’s going to be another dig deep and achieve a win afternoon continued Culverhouse. ‘ It wasn’t the best of games when we went there before Christmas but we got the result (1-0, Michael Gash ) and I will be more than happy if it’s similar on Saturday.

“Performances now are not the important thing it’s just a results business and continuing to accumulate as many points as possible over the next three weeks and then we will see where we are.

“We played very well at Stratford last Saturday and the early goals settled us quickly, We’ll be looking to impose ourselves on them and manage the game.

“I know that Merthyr will make things tough for us and I’m told by some of our backroom people they always put up a tough fight when they are here so I know what to expect. We are in a decent position at present and that’s down to hard work and effort and that’s something we will continue for the remainder of the season’.
